So, I buy everything new and don't really focus adjust anything but I just opened my 35 L and took a couple test shots... WTF it puts my other lenses to shame. Well actually, the 70-200 Mark II never ceases to amaze me but still. The 100 macro is crazy sharp as well but I don't use it too much.

But the 16-35... meh.. its okay
24-70 ... its okay.
50 1.2, the only lens that i've had to focus adjust and while I love it... it can sure frustrate the hell out of me.
135 ... arrives tomorrow :)

So L lenses and all I have to say I am not a pixel peeper by any means. I don't need tack sharp eyes... I'm more in it for the feeling but its nice for it to be sharp when you do need it and this thing has just floored me in my first 10 shots.

I'm just wondering if all my lenses are supposed to be performing this way... Are the rest really just okay, and this one is that much better or are my other lenses just somewhat sub par versions.... I'm not sweating it or anything but sure would be nice to have all of mine come out this way.

Congratulations !

If i add the 5D MKIII if & when it comes out the 35L is the only other lens i will need to add to my present collection.

I have always found myself shooting indoors at this FL even on my crop bodys.

Regards, ;)

My 17-55 is never gonna get a ride on my T2i now, she's just gonna sit in the bag  the more i shoot the 35L the more i love it!!
