I own the 24/35/50/85 and they are all different enough for me.

I use 35 and 85 the most, but the 24 and 50 get quite a bit of use as well.

I'd consider that to be a little too tight of a progression. I'd go 24/50/100 or 35/85/135

If it works for you then it's perfectly okay. No need to change your lens lineup because of what everyone else thinks. The only thing that wouldn't be okay is if you're changing lenses too much, where you could just take a few steps forward or backward; OR you feel that you don't have something that's wide or zoomed enough for you.

but looking at your gear you have a d7000 and the 35/50/85
get a 24 and you are fine
but as you know it is a lot more fun to be here with a Canon!

Thanks! More to come (especially my zoo "wildlife" shots) when I ever get around to uploading them.
