You do know that it was quite easy to save photos before too rigth? Even without that download link it is so easy to take a copy of your photos. If you want to prevent that you need to not post them anywhere on the internet. Copying a photo is as easy as counting to 1 :)

Fact! ^ Thats why I always watermark them, and use low resolution. I ASSUME they will be stolen for fb and other social media, so I this way I get some advertising for free.

yeah but someone people believe it or not actually a lot of people who would want to steal an image aren't all masters of the "right click, save photo as" technique lol. but NOW it's like hey! download this picture, sure take it, for FREE! i've had my images taken twice already and used elsewhere. I also now watermark EVERY image.
