Ive got 2 questions which have been bugging me latley.

How do you set the EV when your in Manual mode?

The EV button spwaps between shutter speed and Appeture size. Can't see anything in the manual?

What benefits will i get from buying a grip for this camera?

Manually.

As in, you set your shutter speed, and adjust your aperture size until you get the needle to the center of (or anywhere you want in) the meter.

Or set your aperture size, and adjust your shutter speed until you get the needle to the center of (or anywhere you want in) the meter.

They weren't kidding when they called it "Manual" mode - the camera doesn't automate any part of it.

1. Battery life if you put a second battery in
2. More to hang on to, which makes the camera easier to handle
3. A vertical shutter release, so you can hold the camera vertically and still grip it from the side for comfort

Ah ok. So you can change it manually like you can in AV & TV because the camera is changing vise versa in those modes.

but in manual mode you get a reading in comparision to what you've chosen.

Got it!

Thanks
