Winter Beavers!

Just managed to get out the other day and stumbled upon these critters! I haven't been out much as i dont like shooting in freezing weather. Lighting was pretty horrible in the creek and overcast.

1. When i showed up this one was on the bank by itself (it was the smaller of the two.. not sure if male or female?)

Nice shots! Beaver numbers sure are increasing around London, aren't they!

great photos, of course I am partial to beavers, my favorite team being the Oregon State beavers

Thanks guys. Yea these two are in medway creek by Wychwood park, not many predators in there, a few fox but they wont eat a beaver! Looking at the shots on the forum some of them still seem underexposed, oh well.

Hey Allan another place you should check is up the old RR bed crossing Gainsborough Rd. in Hyde Park. Head north and you will cross a small creek that has a nice beaver dam. I have not spent enough time there to see them, but I know they are there.

Thats a great set. It gives those of us that don't have them a bit of an insight into them. They probably aren't, but they certainly look cold haha

Yea i have been out there too, there is (was?) one in those over flow ponds out in hyde park. Only photographed it once though didn't see it again, might have moved on to where youre talking about.

Great series. They are so interesting to watch. I think they are one of the animal kingdom's best engineers. You captured quite well.

Are you serious? This must be some sort of joke, no more then 8 in one post. I am not spamming or anything of the sort, i don't see how 4 more images are unwelcome... Please enlighten me as to why this is not allowed, or how it is harmful in any way. Thanks. Dreadfully sorry if the 'extras' caused anyone serious grief!...
