A rare visitor to CFB Trenton today - a C-5 Galaxy from Dover AFB made about 5 touch and goes in the circuit today.

Of course, but I just don't feel like posting those.

So cool!

I hope to shoot one in the next few days as apparently the Iowa Air Guard is headed to my local AFB for an exercise. Well the galaxy is support for the F-16's doing their exercise.

Wonder if they'll be able to keep up with our boys? ;)

I haven't seen either plane in the flesh, so I only hope I don't have to work when they arrive/leave, but at least hope to get some of them during their stay.

I hope to see your photos soon! Always fun to see planes for the first time. :)

Here's a full body shot...I just don't understand people's fascination with a full body profile on this plane...

. . . good series Attila, while not too exciting image wise, that side profile does give one a fair idea
of the size of the C-5 Galaxy !! ;)

Randy, Gear - 3 in the green, and a T5i with a few lenses !

There is an ANG wing in Memphis that flies these, and it's always a treat when I see one of these landing. They always look like they're about to fall out of the sky from going so slow! Nice photos.

Thanks - for a size scale, I prefer 2 taxiing a/c side by side...that gives it a true barometer...at least in my opinion.

They really are a treat to see - I was amazed at how little runway it needed to become airborne again..quite the sight to see!

Hi Jan, thanks! This was the first time I've seen one, and it was worth the wait.
