The fastback...love it in light blue...this one has one of the big engines...see the T-bird badge on the front fender...indicating the 390 V8....4 bbl. carb....dual exhausts...300 hp. Nice photo, nice car...your buddy is a lucky guy.

Those 'spats' are known here as 'fender skirts' L.J.G. , some cars came with them, as an original or accessory item, and some were added on 'after market'. These stainless steel 'spats' are added after market !! ![]() They were only optional over here on Aussie made cars (Ford & Holden) but were the "must have" thing in the early to mid 60's for the "bodgie boys" cars. You don't see many over here today, even on original 60's models, which is a shame because they really were a part of the 60's car option culture. Lloyd

Nitpicking note that has nothing to do with the quality of the image: the name of the Ford full-sized car pictured is spelled Galaxie.
