I am a Post Processing beginner looking for advice.
I have never done any noise reduction on my photos. I have been looking at some of my shot from the past year and I cant help but notice the background is not perfect like so many photos in the bird forum that I look up to and strive to be like. I don't know if I am over analyzing my shots now, or if I should look into noise reduction. I am also comparing my shots taken with a 7d and 400mm 5.6 to those taken with a 500mm f4L. Should I just shut up and be happy with what I am getting?
In the very near future (some time this month) I have plans to get a new laptop as well as Lightroom 3 and CS5. Are my photos going to benefit from the noise reduction Photoshop and Lightroom offer.
Shots below have very little PP done. Overall I do very little PP, a little level adjustment and small sharpening if needed and thats about it. Advice needed. All shots below shot is JPEG because I currently cannot process RAW until I get new laptop.

I think this is one of my best shots and I am very happy with the background but can it get better with noise reduction or other PP?
