It has been a while since my last set of pics (confession), so here is a few selected ones from round 1 of the World Rally Championship in Sweden.

This is one of the toughest events I have done in a long time, as it was either way too bright or too dark, mirrors would lock, lenses would freeze stuck as it was -27 degrees at times, our car would fail starting loosing us valuable shooting time, so all in all I guess I cant complain

On a positive note, my first attempts at working with remote flash and remote cameras worked very well.

Love the shot of PG! The fans look frozen but nicely warm thanks to the large amounts of alcohol flowing through their veins.

great shots all round!

Nice set, bit of everything here, Exposures and that seem to be bang on.
Only crit from me is the panning in #3 Subject has too much motion at the front for a full frame shot, would work better with more space around it to show the speed off rather than your eyes going funny seeing the details slightly blurred.
1+5 pick of the bunch.

Regards,
Jon.S

Jon. I think you'll find the snow, which is coming down a lot heavier than can be seen in this picture I'm sure played a big part in how the picture came out........

Great set of pictures JT especially with the conditions you worked in, and I really missed not being out there this year......

Thank you all for your comments!

Jon.s > The pic was at first meant to be deleted for the exact reason you mention, but at a second look I fell for the bright orange car on the monochrome background, I like that the snow adds a sense of direction, and on a final note I really like how gritty this picture is, as i think that most of my pics are too clean and crisp looking..

Fantastic set of shots from what looked an awesome event. The shots of Block & PG are the pick of the set for me.

Hoping to get another foreign WRC event in this season; either Sardinia or Catalunya with a bit of luck!

Great shots.
