I have a business account with New People's, and their online banking seems pretty secure. I say seems because I had to jump through some hoops to get it setup, going into the branch a few times to sign papers, and they gave me a computerized counter thing to use to go online with, which I havent done yet because im not sure where they are, wopse.
Anywase, since I cant go online, I call them once in a while to check my balance to make sure no checks have bounced from a customer, before I pay some bills *I try to keep cashed checks in there for a month before I use the money* All I have to give them is my name and account number most of the time, but today they asked a couple more questions, like address, all of the answers are on the check. Perhaps they are checking caller id and comparing that to the account, I do not know. But Ive never had a problem getting the balance off the phone. This does not seem to safe to me, although it is convenient.
