G3 test samples

I am still not convinced I am not getting the best out of my G3 (i.e. I have seen alot of galleries with sharp photos and it makes me jealous because I have a good camera yet can't take sharp good quality photos with it..
).

So I thought some of you could evaluate some samples shot I took randomly, perhaps some of you could evaluate if its suppose to turn out this way.

my two cents:
....I going to guess that you focused too close; ie, your focal plane was too close to you ( I didn't see a focus range in the exposure details ). It's very obvious in the center photo with the forground very sharp and things beginning several meters further out progressively soft.
....even with larger apertures, focusing too close will shrink depth of field.
