Why is it that every accessorie I buy doesnt have a off switch? Things like remote receivers/transmitters and remote shutters. Is it that they do not ex spell much energy at all? Because the ones I have will either have a flashing light on the whole time or have a led screen that cant be turned off.

Well, my Canon TC80-N3 doesn't have a power switch, but I got it with my D-60 back in 2003 and haven't changed the battery yet. I'm not even sure what kind of battery it uses any more. So I'd go with the "don't need much power" crowd.

Unless you've been using it as an alarm clock, your battery's as good as new. :{)#

Ha ha! Pretty much!

OP: I guess we have just gotten to the point with some electronics where we dont need power switches because the circuitry inside is so efficient they just dont ever need to be switched off.

...now, when they figure that out with cell phones, Ill REALLY be impressed!

The CR2016 and CR2032 are the two most popular and if you know where to buy them, they are extremely cheap! I just bought 25 of each for $5/25 from amazon with good reviews on them.

That. I even get them in bulk at our local hardware store (tea candles use 'em).
