Hey all,

I am happy to have my first "NEW" large format, and i ordered a DSLR mount adapter with it, so i gave it a try and mounted my 30D on it [I couldn't mount my 1-series due to the integrated grip, so i can mount only smaller cameras without grip], and with the lens of LF it turns to a macro lens, i like the results but it was a pain to focus and compose, here are few samples:

So in the future i hope to buy so wide angle LF lens to have it as a normal/standard lens for DSLR.

I looked at the adapters on ebay for my LF but in the end decided it was not worth the trouble, the minimun DOF coupled with the super sharp in focus make for difficult photo balance. there is a post on here which a pro photographer mated a 1dmk3 to a bronica 150mm lens on a sinar or cambo his shots were very very good, so perhaps useing a spacer would enable the mounting of a 1d body the good thing with LF is you simply adjust the plane of focus length on the rail the spacer distance .

You need a camera with live view! Focus and compose in real time on the LCD - zoom in 10X for critical focus.....

Maybe i will try with my family camera [500D], as it has a live view and it is small camera without grip, the only 3 cameras i have without grip are 350D[It is gripped, but that can be taken off], 30D and 5D.

In fact i just bought this adapter as an option, but i bought that large format to shoot film not to mount DSLR on it, i may buy a roll back for 120 films.
