Ooooooohhhh Nice Challenger, and sweet flames. I like the flash, kinda stark. But watch the backround, I see a tree growing out of the roof.

is the front end out of focus or is it just me?

I think the lighting is a bit too contrasty and the rear end gets lost in the shadows, and yes, get rid of the tree in the bg

#1 - it's out of focus and the red is blown out, and there's a tree growing out of the roof, and the trunk gets lost. The flash could have been moved a bit further frame-right to help out the trunk, and also probably further back just to reduce having a big hot spot on the nose. Also, fix your focus. I assume you had it on auto and it gave it's best guess in the blackness of no flash.
[edit] i see the rear wheel looks in focus... if so, your DOF is too narrow, so close up that aperture a bit next time. Also, for that angle of shot it's probably best to set the focus on the front face, or at least the front wheel -- if the back end goes a little OOF it's more "acceptable" than if the front is OOF, I think.

#2 - are the flames red or orange? I think the reflective paint may have tricked your camera. Someone more experienced than me might have some ideas for you about that. Also, the entire left half of the frame is empty and not adding to your picture.

good points, but keep in mind this shoot was unexpected, I was shooting off hand so my normal methode of long expo smaller apeture light pianting with tripod was out. Im hoping to shoot this car again soon, perhaps at a location with out as much lights in the bg, thanks for pointing the tree out.. one of those things you dont see in that mill second flash haha. as for the flames being red or orange they are both, the flames fade. all good points to keep in mind for the next shoot.
