rode video mic + 5D Mkii settings

I have a rode videomic and a 5d MK ii with 2.0.8 I know theres manual audio controls but I can still hear a hissing in my audio. Can someone help with the audio settings?

Did you try turning off the AGC?

put it on manual, turn it down a bit. The preamps still aren't particularly good, so there will be some hiss. This is why products like Juicedlink have become so popular.

vegasboy -- 5DmkII doesn't need magic lantern to defeat agc if you have firmware version 2.0.4 or newer.
