I've managed to get the first 25 images up and captioned from Friday's Media Day but there's lots more to come including a lot of shots from the Saturday afternoon Parade of Planes.

Nice set of photos. But you must have been far from the action, as most AIF are shot at 500 or 700mm.

Sorry I missed the show. Is Fleetweek anything like this?

Sorry I missed the show. Is Fleetweek anything like this?

This wasn't an "Airshow" in the normal sense. It was more of a showcase of aircraft that have served in the inventory of the Navy, Marine Corps and Coast Guard. They were all flown fairly high and well out over San Diego Bay where the entire city could watch.

As for "Fleetweek," I can't say as I've never attended.
