Making a DVD slide show for some friends from church that renewed their vows on their 50th anniversary . So cool ! Anyway after i finish editing some 234 images i want to make a DVD slide show you can watch on TV . I just bought a new HP Multi-Media computer with Windows 7 . It has a program to edit images and to make a slide show . I have edited some images but not made the slide show yet . Only problem is it does not edit RAW images so have to edit them on a seperate computer that already has my PS and DPP programs on it . What i'd like to know is do any of you make slide shows for anyone and what program do you use ? I'd really appreciate your help ! Thanks !

Not really looking for one to upload and do on the web even tho it's nice . I just want to be able to make a very nice slide show and ad music and burn to a DVD that plays HD in a DVD attached to a HD TV . So far i like what i've seen on the ProShow Gold . I'll do a little more searching and see whats available . Don't want to go too high in the pocket book tho cause it will be used on a small level but with a Pro look . But i will keep the animoto bookmarked for future thoughts tho . Thanks for that info also !

Are there any non-flash ones available?

Strugglin' to find one.

Video (mp4) is too data intensive for even the simplest slideshows.

Proshow's very versatile, it can output in just about every format, except maybe plain html as that's not commonly done. It has its own plugin that is very efficient data wise, it just downloads the images and the music and plays them. ShowItWeb does the same thing, very efficient, but runs as flash so people don't have to install a new plugin.

depending on the slideshow

you can use Lr, acdsee for easy to make slides
you can use premier for more complicated efects and better quality
..

it all depends on how much you are willing to stay and make them
