Thank you! It's a challenge getting everything setup, tracking, freezing, aligning, monitoring, and finally processing. But man, it's worth it.

:D

Jardmonkey looks like you caught alot of data in such short exposures . Overall it looks good but you really clipped the black point . You may want to restack and try again without clipping the BP . Also i see streaks between M42 and the Running Man neb . Can you tell me is this a cropped image or just reduced for posting ? You might want to check each individual image and see if those streaks are in each image and if they are in different position in each image . If so you may have caught some space debris . I understand there is usually alot that flies throught this area at times but is not identifiable of the source . I took similiar images back last year and sent them off to NASA for examining and they verified debris but could not say the source . So check out your original single images if you still have them and see what you got !

Great shot! What is the focal ratio of your scope?

So Ron, now we have too much stuff in orbit and it's causing issues for ground based photos of the heavens? :(

@archer- It's a 203mm aperature and 1000mm focal length. (F4.9)

@celestron- I know I clipped it- I was unhappy with the glow/gradient from my light pollution and was getting frustrated with the processing, so I just slammed the levels when I was done to compensate. It is reduced for posting- but yes those streaks are actually sattelite trails that showed up in a few of the subs I believe. I didn't really have enough/long enough subs to stretch the data any more without making it look like junk.
I'm learning though. Next time it's actually clear here, I'll try and get more/longer subs.

Yep seen that picture drawing . As far as your last question is that all astro work has to put up with some objects at some time or other . For WF shots yes you can expect more but when you get more high powered then it slims the chances . I was observing M42 in the past with my 8" SCT and a 25mm Plossi and a 2x barlow which pretty much puts me in the center of the quad heart stars and a satellite passed throught in the EP . It was so bright it blinded me for a short time period . I estimated it to be 10 x the moons brightness .

I get those streaks of space debris all the time shooting Orion. If I flip through the unstacked frames, it looks like an animation of multiple objects flying through the area... ;)

Very nice picture by the way. Great detail!
