You typically, but not always, have to have the policy attached to some type of property insurance. Mine is considered an Inland Marine rider on my homeowner's insurance. I pay $78/yr. for $5,500 in coverage. Rates are specific to each state so you will probably just have to make some calls to see how each company has it set up and what their rates are.
