Used an XTi and a Canon 18-55mm image stabilizer lens, handheld. Dialed in 1/3rd stop exposure compensation, put the camera at ISO 1600 and Program AE, and let the camera figure out the exposure. Took several shots in sequence and chose the best image from each sequence. The camera and lens did most of the work.
