In a tutorial it says to use a specific brush:

...select the Texture tab in the Brushes panel (F5), then, for the pattern, use Clouds 128x128 (it's in the predefined list named 'Patterns').

There is no Texture Tab on my brush panel, and there is not preset named Patterns. But I have looked in every Photoshop preset and the cloud brush is not there. I am using CS2. Is it only in later versions?

Is there any mention in the tutorial about downloading cloud brushes, I am running CS5 and have no cloud brushes/pre-sets but a quick Google search has revealed loads. Example below:

This is a free download, sorry I can't be any more help.

I don't have CS2 anymore, but here is a shot of my brush panel in CS5 which has the Cloud brush.

I have custom brushes also, but in the context of the tutorial they make it seem like it is a default brush set because there is no mention whatsoever about downloading a set.

What preset set is that? I loaded all PS default sets and had none that contained brushes that looked like that (see below).

Well, that sort of settles it. Apparently it's not in CS2. Here's a shot of my preset list. As you can see, there is no "patterns" set. And even if it was accidentally deleted, the other graphic shows there is no default set named patterns that will allow reloading it.

I have three "cloud" sets that were installed years ago, but none of these work as needed. Oh, well. I guess I shouldn't be using an antique like CS2 anyway. :(

If you need this brush I am wondering if it can be lifted from my CS5 folder and dropped into your folder. Can this be done, is it allowed?

Will help if I can.

Don't know. Probably would not be allowed in the wild, but restoring a file from one CS owner to another? Kind of like restoring accidentally deleted windows files, I guess, which is allowed.

But AFAIk, you can't up/download a single brush. I think you have to load the entire preset set (.ABR).

Found it! Thanks all for your help. :D

In CS2 it's not a brush. It's a pattern stamp. I would guess in later PS versions, the patterns are now brushes.

Now to convert the pattern to a brush. If I remember correctly, easily done.

See you found it, but I wonder if you click in the Texture block if it will show up there as the brush?

Well, I'll be hornswoggled! Tie me to a post and whip me with a wet noodle. Yes, it can! :D

I DID look at that before, but overlooked the fact that a texture could be chosen.

And not only did it solve that problem, but I had another that I did not mention. The tutorial also said:

Also make the Scale much bigger than the brush size...

Couldn't figure that out. However, I just noticed that the Scale option that is not found in the Cloud pattern when Pattern Stamp is used, IS found in the configuration when the Cloud texture is enabled in brushes!

Thank you! :D :D :D
