The Rokinon 8mm f/1:3.5 lens arrived the other day. After taking a few pix on the Nikon D300 I mounted it to my t2i to try it in the video mode.
I cleaned the windshield of the minivan (circa 1996), left the scratches and rock dings, and removed the wipers. The camera was set on the dashboard with a rolled up towel under the lens for support (a battery grip is part of the camera setup). I used the cine settings recommended by a Soligar spotmeter II for the shutter speed and lens opening in full manual mode. With a fisheye lens the focusing is far from critical so I set it for about 15 ft.

Tnx for the comments. By setting up this test I built up points with my wife.
She was impressed that I would finally wash the vans windshield. She had no idea what my motive was but she liked what she saw - and this after 45 years of marriage !!
I've been on vacation all this week and have to return to w**k on Monday the 21st. Right now it's 75 Deg. f & sunny.

That lens isn't particularly sharp, is it. Looks very similar to my GoPro footage, in fact.

We'll probably have to call it something else when the left coast slips into the pacific.
