My school (white) played Inglewood High school in round 2 of the playoffs. We lost, but it was a good game. These were all shot on my 1d classic and Tamron 28-75 F2.8 @ expanded ISO 3200. The First shot is my favorite. I was trying out the cinematic crop/wider angle style that Scott Kelby posted on his blog that past week.

Wow, seems like the 1d classic can actually put out usable shots at 3200. Pretty impressive for such an old camera. First shot is definitely my favourite too, great job!

thanks. yeah i've had success using 1600-3200 in order to get a higher shutter speed in decent lighting conditions. I figure that a little noise is better than blurry shots.

Exactly! We see noise, but the kids and their parents aren't quite as critical.

They seem a bit dark on my monitor. Did you correct anything in post? Maybe a bit of shadow relief and a bump on exposure might get the faces to pop a bit more.

good shots but very noisy and I suspect these could be cleaned up nicely with NR software.
