I have a job coming up that will require hard lighting, something similar to the look that Terry Richardson has been known for (might not be a work safe link) http://www.terrysdiary.com/ (external link)

I've done similar lighting but never been overly pleased with just using the 7" reflectors.

Since I need to get the lights pretty far away in order to create the hard shadows, I'm looking into reflector options. First is the 8.5" high output, which seems like it would do the job (and be easier to pack / transport) http://www.alienbees.com/85hor.html (external link) - increasing light by 1 f/stop, or going with the long throw 11" reflectors http://www.alienbees.com/11ltr.html (external link)

Who has experience with either or both of these, what do and don't you like about them?
