Hi all, I just started working on my site this weekend. A bit of background info: I don't have any true web design experience, just what I can figure out on my own thanks to the internet. I also haven't created a site in years, last one I did I used Dreamweaver and it was very basic. So, I got into the whole Wordpress thing. I like it, I like the theme I purchased, seems very customizable.... as long as I can learn how to customize it :) Anyway, enough of me talking about nothing in particular.... here's a link to the site:

Please feel free to post any comments/criticisms, you aren't going to hurt my feelings. The site is still very basic and not much content yet, I want to make sure I know what I'm doing before I go to town on it. I'm sure there's important info I'm missing, I'm a very amateur photographer too so go ahead and let me know if something's totally wrong or should be done differently to go with the industry standards or whatever.... I'm blabbing, it's late...

if you open up a post and scroll down you can see things scroll up behind the left hand sidebar, looks like some links and also a white box which sticks out into the main area a bit

I can't seem to make it do that, what browser are you using?

Ahh... I never use Chrome, lol. I'll have to check it out later. I've only tried it on Firefox and Safari so far.

I worked out what it is

if the window isn't wide enough then the right hand column gets shifted over to the left and displays underneath the left column

your site is very wide, not everyone will use a window as large as yours, I may have a 24" monitor but I don't have my browser full screen all the time!

not sure why that right hand column has a width set to it anyway, there is lots of dead space on it also given the size of the thumbnails you have used, the main column probably doesn't need to be as wide either

along the same lines, the height of the page isn't big enough, the left hand column with the menu etc on it displays off the bottom of the page and you can't scroll down as it is fixed and only the post scrolls down

OK, now I see what you mean... I may have to try to tweak those two widths a little, make the post area and the right column a little thinner. I'll try viewing it on a few different computers at work and family members houses just to get a feel for how wide it can be without bothering anyone.
