Had an opportunity to watch a British Army Lynx AH.7 crew conduct single skid landings on a concrete water tower. The pilot conducted the landings and also hovered to practice throwing out the fast rope onto a point location.

Awesome series, the third shot is fantastic all around. Can't ask for better colors clarity or composition. Simply beautiful. I would frame that one for sure.

Thanks for the all comments.
Unfortunately my 75-300mm has broken. It stays shut meaning its like shooting at night all the time.

I took this series of shots on a borrowed Nikon D100 (6 megapixels) and 18-200 VR lens.
Took some getting used to with the Nikon but i like the hold of it even though its only 6MP.
Had major troubles though as the screen on the camera seems to have something wrong with it as it shows no difference in each shot with different settings, if i change the white balance i can't tell how it is coming out. So i just had to go with the flow and hope Photoshop could do the works on post processing.
The 18-200VR lens i used is very good, well pleased with that lens!

As for the opportunity, a friend had it set up but he couldn't make it, so gave me the chance instead. The area i took the photos is a "hot" area for things like. Nearby to a major training range.
