I'm good with the current 135L for now. It's time for Canon to address real issues in their lens lineup like the 35mm f2 and 50mm f1.4.

+1. Wide lens (focal length to 50mm in fact), primes or zooms, have better reason to be updated.

You people are crazy thinking that the 135L needs to be updated :) It's a real gem in the Canon lineup. There's so much they need to focus their attention on before the 135L...

I couldn't agree more!

Speaking of lens updates - who exactly was asking for $800 slow WA primes with IS like the 24 2.8 and 28 2.8? Not to mention the rumored 18-135 IS II - where is the uproar for an update to this lens? At least Canon has a sense of humor. :)

Yup, the video people. You can use a 24mm IS and film handheld and it will look like you’re using a stabilizer. Of course and’s also small and lighter.

Sure but for that price get the EFS 17-55 IS and you have a lot more versatility.

Yes but that's EF-S versus EF, also the 17-55 is still going to be alot bigger/heaver than the primes...

135L surely does not need an update. It is nearly perfect. I don't care how old the design is! Built like a tank, amazing IQ and no need for IS.

The 35L needs an update though, mainly with build quality (worst L build quality I have personally used). IQ is great though!

I am starting to hate my 135. The reason being is that my subject is sharp as a tack and the bokeh is so intense it makes the image look fake! LMFAO
