My first attempt at posting here. This image was taken with a 20D, EF 28-105 3.5-4.5 II USM, natural window light with a gold reflector (I think). It was shot in RAW, converted to sepia with the EOS DIGITAL Software that came with the camera, then "tweaked" a little more with PSE 3.0. Comments/criticism welcomed.

nice job. I like the way the subject and background lend themselves and respond to the sepia look.

GREAT JOB.........sometimes I get worried when I see "sepia" pictures. I'm worried they will look like the sepia attempts I have made. I have a 10d, so all the work is in photoshop. I wonder if there is a standard way to convert to a sepia.....or B&W (without just removing the saturation)?

Nicely done. Don't think it would have worked in color. Good eye.

I'm not sure I've seen the "sepia" filter applied so that I like it, however the you level you used here really adds to the photo.

I really like this shot. It's a great one to convert to sepia - I think the only problem caused by the conversion is the chair disappearing into the wall.

Beautifull shot. I normally don't like sepia or B & W shots but this one is very nice. The mood captured is intimit.

Wonderful shot Wagonwheel.
I've never used the canon software, nor elements, but I'm wondering if elements has a 'diffuse glow' filter?
I use CS2 and I like the look with the glow, sorta gives it more of an 'old picture' feel. With your permission I'll post the glow version.

Mackb, this is how I convert to sepia in CS2
adjustments -desaturate
adjustments - color filter - sepia
adjustments - variations

Very, very nice. has the feel of the time period, and (as far as my newbie eyes can tell) flawless composition....
