Which Image Hosting Site Does All This?

A few days ago a friend of mine told me about an image hosting site that does the following things. The problem is, I can't remember the name of the site! Do any of you know which one it is?

The things it is supposed to do are:

You can host as many photos (unlimited) as you like
They use a 3rd party to backup photos (so if you lose them on your computer, there is always another backup)
Password protected albums for your customers
Kickback of income for prints ordered (You set the pricing of the prints, if they are ordered by your customers, you get a certain % of each print ordered)

Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I use Exposuer Manager. I only display low res files, and upload high res when an order is placed. I don't want print ready files saved by them and I wouldn't trust any on line back up service. Recently there was one that hit people with a price increase that was reprorted to be as high as 800% !

I have ditched all the sites that do this and do it myself, photocart is WELL worth the up front fees. It's already mostly paid off in one months use just from the fees I saved!!

This is the way I'm going. Besides, I hate to tell y'all this, but if you're relying in Exposure Manager, Zenfolio, SmugMug, et al as a back-up service, I think you will become painfully aware that they shouldn't be. If you solely want an online back-up service, look into Carbonite. It will be the best $55 you'll ever spend. I have invested in a few Western Digital MyBook network hard drives.

I really do like Exposure Manager, it's by far my first choice for selling prints if I had to use a third party - NOT backup. First off, they tell you the easiest way to work is uploading smaller files and they're right. Smuggie I hear is better for it because they actually have a service for online backup (if anyone uses it you can explain), but with EM you have to download one image at a time - so if that's your backup you have to to THOUSANDS of images and download them one at a time, can you say insane? I've heard of other places similar to Carbonite that are like that to, but not sure if they are (?).

Also heard places like Carbonite will boot you if they think you're abusing the system, i.e. too much storage on unlimited storage - which is confusing, but heard it third person so not sure it's true or what the deal is with it.

The absolute best service for online backup I've found is PhotoShelter - BUT, can you say expensive? I'm way over 1TB of storage needed, not sure how some guys pay for several TB's of storage unless they're getting a discount - there's a few with ALL images online, full size RAW TIFF's. I say the best because not only is the download of your entire gallery easy - but you can have it fully searchable and online while it's being backed up. Personally though, I only use it for edited files...maybe someday will have it all up after I win the lottery - but I keep forgetting to play.

I have Drobo and Western Digital 2TB hard drives, two systems - one is traveling with me right now and the other is home. So right now I'll have two copies on the drobo and laptop (which is with me at games) until I get to back them up on the second system. I don't even feel safe with 2 systems in separate locations, a good online system would be great - but it has to fit right.

I still have my 2 ExpMan accounts......for now. I will be leaving them soon for PhotoCart, not because I don't like ExpMan, but want more control over things. ExpMan has been good to me and their print quality is just fine.

I will have to confirm exact figures, but a buddy of mine uses Carbonite and has sent roughly 10-12TB of data to them and has not heard anything about "abusing the system."

I have 3 1TB network drives hooked up on my home network. I am FAR from filling them up, but I put photos on 2 different drives and 1 is for all other data. I can remote in to them at any time and grab data if I need to. I do also have a 500TB WD external HDD that I will bring along if I think I might need to dump large amounts of data. However, just recently, I had an extra 2.5" laptop 500GB hard drive that I pulled. I put it in a HDD enclosure and carry it around in a foam lined Pelican 1020 case. It's a bit smaller than the WD HDD.

Good to hear about Carbonite - plan on adding online backup sometime soon as a third option.

Yea, PhotoCart definitely gives you a bit more control over things. There's a few trade off's, I'd like some things that are not available it seems, but there's so much more that it's worth it. Use a server like hostgator and you're immediately saving money over a three year stretch.

I have all my hosting through The Linux Fix. I have never had issues with them.
