I would love to say what I really think to the parents sometimes. I was shooting a couple of kids about a year ago outside. The mom, who is a pretentious....well you know, who kept "instructing" me how to use my equipment because she just bought an XSi. After about 20 minutes of listening to her, I turned to her and said, "If you're so damn smart, then why are you the photographer?" I thought her husband was going to crap himself laughing so hard. The wife huffed and puffed and stomped away. The husband gave me a $20 bill and said, "Here's your tip for dealing with my wife that long." The wife didn't order prints, but the husband ordered a crap load. Oddly enough, she called about 2 weeks ago and scheduled Spring portraits. The first words out of her mouth were, "If I promise to keep my mouth shut, will you do our Spring pictures?" We chuckled and set up a date.
