I got a LOT of feedback about my images from my first attempt at basketball and I think that it made an impact on my images from my second attempt. Thanks to all who shared comments and suggestions. Please take a look at these and let me know what you think...

Thanks... one of my fav's too, but I am not a pure sports shooter... more like a family/wedding guy that love sports and just wants to get the best that I can! Thanks again.

Lighting balance between on-court action and BG looks really good. Focus appears off in several. There is most definitely a learning curve to readying the camera, tracking the action smoothly and squeezing off the shot in rhythm. Technique is what leads to sharp, peak action shots, IMO.

One thing the strobes takes away from a shooter is the ability to shoot more than one frame in a play sequence. You only get the one shot at each play.

For me, I need to get better at what YOU do away from sports activities!

Thanks for your comments... after I got home I was reviewing my settings and noticed that i was in SPOT AF... I usually shoot in Single Point AF using the center point. I think that could have contributed to some of the focus issues... Next time I will go through ALL my settings to make sure that they are what they should be.
