I went out to observatory with a few friends.... it was a good time.. but this weekend wasn't the best time since it was a full moon... so we didn't get to really pull the exposure times that we wanted....

with a full moon... it was pretty easy to turn night into day....

Went back and added EXIF on the first few...

We set up for the 1st shot... thinking that we were at the observatory.... then, we walked up the hill more, and found the 2nd building... so... I stopped the 1st trail... moved the setup... and then I ended up having to cut that one short because of the moon coming up.... you can see the reflection of the red/orange on the siding of the observatory....

Absolutely glorious work. Enticing me to take the plunge into star trails. Thanks for sharing.

All very nice picures. I like #2 better than #1 bacause the distortion of the dome is a little less apparent.

The truck pic kinda steals the show actually. It really jumps out at me for some reason.
