Good company. I've only had one problem that was fixed. I think they put the wrong item on sale, but eventually honored it. The biggest problem I have is this Midwestern boy can't understand that accent all the service reps have. I really have to ask them to repeat many times and they just keep saying it faster!

That being said, I'd much rather have that than an Indian call center to deal with.

The real question is how do we get people to stop posting threads when they make a mistake and do not want to own it. There have been dozens of threads like that. In the case to which you are referring- the issue is over $9 in shipping for a mistake that was not Adorama's fault.

+1 for Adorama. Purchased many times and had great CS.

Being a long time customer of Adorama's main competitor, I actually placed my first $500+ order with them recently because of Helen's presence here on POTN.

This

If it were only that simple.

I always wondered if there could a rating system on threads. If the thread reached a certain number or a certain percentage of "bad votes" then it would be erased, locked, etc. It would certainly end some of the silly ones!

If that was the case, how many threads would be left on POTN?

I've bought a few things from them in the past couple of years... nothing too big, as I'm an amateur, but I will continue to do so. No problems here!

I'm originally from the east coast, so I don't even have a problem with their accents! ;-)a

A whole box of point and shoots, EOS 30D, EF 20-35 f/3.5-4.5, 50mm f/1.8, Super Tak 135, 70-200 f/4 L

Helen helped me out with my first order to Adorama. Incredible service.
Delivery was not free to Canada when I wanted to place an order. She arranged for fast efficient delivery for me by changing the delivery method.
My order was important to me, but small; she went out of her way to make it happen.
Hat's off to Helen O and Adorama! Thank you!
Best,

Dave

As someone who was born in Brooklyn, grew up and married while on Long Island and then lived in the Hudson River Valley for 30 years I have to tell you They don't have accents! :D

First thing I bought from them was a Canon A1 film camera with the 50mm f/1.4 and a 135mm f/2.8. Was happy with them then and am still happy with them now.

Nothing but great service and great prices from Adorama. They offer free shipping on a lot of items, so they almost alway beat out B&H on the final price. I've placed approx 25-30 orders from them in the last 4 years and I'm a very satisfied customer...
