Hi, I have a Canon Pixma printer ip5200 that is causing me an annoying problem. Everything that is printed comes with a black streak down the middle of the page on the underneath side. I have performed all the obvious cleaning functions, changed cartridges, taken out the cradle and cleaned everything but still getting the problem. It is fairly old (about 5 or 6 years I think) so I am wondering whether it is time for a new one. Any suggestions ?

The black streak, is it ink or maybe rubber from a roller?

This sounds like a leaking print head and or the tray/pad may be fill of waste ink from the print head cleaning and priming. It might be time for a trip to Canon service. I wish I could be of more help but I don't have this model to explore it's internal workings.
