I own the Giottos brand of tripod and head and i'm curious as to what level is this brand as compared to manfrotto and gitzo. I'm asking because after say, 3 years, of owning my Giottos 3-way pan and legs, my pan head somehow broke in half after a shoot in its carrying bag:

So i'm curious if Giottos would be a good brand to replace the head. I also bought a ball head from them about a year ago, and that seems to leak oil from the rotation base for no apparent reason while it's on its side for long periods of time. I wasn't sure if that's normal, I went ot B&H and asked there, and they blatantly told me that it's a cheap head, even though I bought it form them for $100.
