Hi!
Just a few holiday snaps taken in Quebec ealrier this month. Feel free to criticise the post-processing (or anything else), I've still got the RAWs and am open to tips about improving them!
I hope you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as I've enjoyed taking them.
To start with:
A fishing heron

Very nice shot of the heron, and that porcupine is cute! (Well, from a distance...)

You can take my 100-400 L away when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

It was fantastic to watch as it ambled across the track. It moves like a cartoon elephant, if you take my meaning... Pity it was a bit dark at the time and there was fading sunlight.

Great shots.
Hope you enjoyed you stay in Quebec, it is a great place for wild life.
Porcupine is great but appears blacker than what I have seen, did you darken him up in Post processing?
I especially love your Loon. They are hard to find.
Where on the St Lawrence did you take it?

Hi Wayne,
Quebec was fantastic (wide open spaces, lots of nature, but also strangely empty (much less wildlife than in a comparable stretch of woodlands in Europe - or maybe I wasn't looking hard enough).
The porcupine was post-processed, I tried to depict him as I remebered seing him, but perhaps I went too far with the contrast.
The loon was a shot taken during a whale watching trip (well, beluga watching trip) off Tadoussac.
Cheers,
Philippe
