question about Center-weighted average

hi

i use always evalutative or spot meter

never used Center-weighted average metering

i know how spot , partial and eva meter work but

about is there some technical information about canon Center-weighted average metring system?

i mean how much does a canon body exposure meter care about center ? 60 % ..70%

i mean i know it reads the center and make an average with the rest of the frame

but i have never known how makes this average

for example 70% for the center ,30 for the rest

but the example of the old car is really exaggerated (-1.3) -1 stop and -1/3 stop...

i mean i took a shoot similar like that with a '80 car black , i had to over expose -2/3 with a bright sun
