Just wondering if there is any difference between regions with canon flashes, does anyone know?

Not that I'm aware of. Canon products are sometimes marked with the region of origin, or have the name changed, for warranty reasons and to discourage grey importing.

It's only some radio triggers that are regional, eg PW and RP, for legal reasons concerning the frequency used. That doesn't stop them working though, only illegal to sell.
