neat-o man!

this will sound silly so forgive my ignorance, were you shooting with a tilt shift with the tilt/shift set only slightly?
they all, but some more than others, have a bit of blur to them and rather odd depth of field.
#2 is most noticeable as the nose is sharp, but so is the wheel, and then it looks like you added some gaussian blur or similar, but the guy on the right is partially in focus, and the wall on the left, which is completely out of the focal plane (no pun intended) is also in focus.
it looks as if the Center-Right is the only focal area that is not in focus.

just looks like some sort of tilt shift or post processing.

No tilt/shift or even post processing, it was VERY dark on the hanger deck, ISO1200 and wide open with a 28 - 300L !!

Very nice pics in both threads. :)

I'm chuckling at the thought of a Concorde being launched from a carrier, and then attempting a landing in high seas ;)

Currently just a P&S, but watch this space.
