Feb 23, 2011 19:42 | #4 Thanks for the comments you 2 - not my favourites but since they were already processed, I thought I would share. I was not keen on the clouds/sky and the shadow on the house - I wanted more white on it but would have had to come back when the sun was more on the walls.

navydoc Cream of the Crop More info | Nice processing and very interesting subject. Was this a display of some kind? I like the fenced in little vegetable patch and clothes line as well as the outhouse. If it's possible, some closeups of the shed on the left looks like a promising subject too. My attempts don't even come close to matching this one. You mentioned that you used three exposures...+2, 0, -2? Just curious, because, as I am just learning about this technique, I would like to be able to understand the technical side of it a bit better. Thanks.

Thanks doc - yes, it is an old farmhouse believed to be used from 1920 to 1983 now retired to a heritage museum. There are lots of good opportunities there as you noticed - will be posting some wood textures later. The shot was taken at 12:30PM - sun high, so not the lighting I wanted. J-Blake Great Googley Moogley! More info | Feb 24, 2011 09:07 | #9 Neat subject, and I like the first shot very much. I think I would like it more if you straightened you vertical lines as everything looks like it's tilted to the right. Also, there's something about the sky that seems a bit distracting. Maybe smooth out the clouds a little with some blur or noise reduction. Otherwise it's wall worthy. I agree with Gene, that outhouse might make for a very interesting shot too. Jon

Feb 24, 2011 13:55 | #10 Thanks J....just #1 - just a bit but it is only the left side of the house. I put it on a grid. The bench and outhouse looked OK so chalked it up to old age leaning/authenticity.
