Hi y'all,

I took a few pictures of the clouds after the storm moved out last Sunday, and I found one that struck me as more interesting in B&W than it did in color. I haven't messed with B&W since I was a youth and the cost was in line with what I could afford..;)

Here's the color original (no PP other than resizing):

And here is the B&W - I cropped it plus did some adjusting in LR to darken the sky and increase the contrast:

What do you think -- does B&W help it?

I like the color far better, you get all the different hues in the clouds and the hills. I would try another crop though..the city below isn;t really relevant to the photo? More like a pano...

you're a great friend, but if Zombies chase us, I am tripping you.

Hi Flo,

I did a few enhancements to the colored one and cropped it as you suggested - how does this look?

Much better:) You might even be able to squeeze in a little more contrast if you so desired.

revision looks great. It's amazing what a little processing can do.

OK - that was easy..:D

I guess I'm sort of torn between illuminating as much of the details of underside of the cloud vs letting it get dark under there..
