First images with my new 50mm 1.4. Yes, I shot wide open on purpose most of the time just to play with it.

I think they turned out great, except the PVC pipe reflection in the monitor in one of them.I really wish I had better editing software so I could remove it.

i like them, the only thing that bugs me a bit is the angle on #2. i know thats how you intended it but the fact that i can see where your (light box?) ends bugs me a bit. maybe a slight crop on it to get rid of that and keep the angle would help?

Thanks, that actually is a pretty harsh crop from the original, where nearly all of the light box was exposed. My lightbox was too small to house the laptop really, if I got close enough to get rid of the lightbox i was cutting off part of the laptop. Thats just how it ended up.

Back when I had a PC and Photoshop CS2 I would have just cloned out the edges and made it look nice. But after switching to Mac all I have is Elements and Raw and those features are pretty weak.

Yeah, I agree. I might try to pick up an older version of Photoshop if I can.
