So I picked up two 8' light stands from calumet back in december because I was using tripods as light stands(not that thats a bad thing, but I wanted real stands.) So now I want to mount my speedlites onto the stands and be able to use umbrellas with them, can some one direct me to a link where I Can find these "adapters" sorry I don't know what their called. Will I need the size of the screw on the light stand?

No these brackets or umbrella adapters come with either studs or a clamp to mount your flash in. Some are made of plastic and some of metal, the metal ones hold up much longer. If you get one with a metal clamp be sure to place some insulating electrical tape on the surface of the clamp to stop your contacts on the flash foot shorting out and frying the flash. I bought a couple of Manfrotto 026s today (external link).

Yes the LumoPro is good but the controls on the Manfrotto are bigger and I don't need the clamp. I use Nikon SB-800 and SB-600s and I'm getting the YongNuo AS-10 flash adapter for the top of the Manfrotto 026 so I can use the lock on the flash. :)

I did get two LumoPro 10 ft stands from mpex today. Very impressive, well built and really sturdy. They are great value and should last a long time.

Found this image on google as an example of how you would run tape through the center to stop metal on metal connectivity.

On the metal shoe you want to put a bit of tape to prevent the teeth on the bottom of the flash to have contact with the metal shoe. The tape will keep the metal separated and save you the chance of damaging your flash.

Nice and simple, just pre-tape the inside of the metal shoe.
