I have a Canon Pixma IP6600 printer and Photoshop Elements 9. I've downloaded and installed the ICCs for my printer paper (Red River). The photo I want to print looks great on Elements, but the Canon print preview window is totally different - in this case greens are way too intense and bright. The print is pretty close to the printer preview, so I don't think my monitor is at fault. Somehow Elements is still being overwritten by the printer? 'm not sure the printer color management is turned off. any help?

Thx,

Leo

I moved this to the appropriate forum. I think you'll get more help here, Leo.

What OS and printer driver? What *exact* settings are you using to print?
There seems to be an issue with the "print preview" window as well: http://www.redrivercatalog.com/profiles/bulletin.htm (external link)

I found the solution on my own. Turns out that the window allowing me to select "let Photoshop Elements Control color management" is only accessible through the editor, not the file manager. Why? I have no idea.

I just discovered this quirk a few days ago myself. I seldom print, but when I do I do so from the Editor. I've still working through my latest PSE9 book acquisition, and earlier this week I read that there are some differences between the Editor and Organizer print options. However, there is no explanation offered as to why this is.
