Went downtown with my girlfriend, Kassie

Haven't really every shot photos of people, so my girlfriend and I went downtown Paducah, KY to shoot some of her for practice. I used a 7d with Sigma 30mm f/1.4 and the one with the huge glare was taken with a Helios 44-2.

These are great. I really like the one in the alley.

Not sure if it was intentional, but the white haze in #2 is distracting.

The glare was from the flash pointed straight at the Helios lens. There are some spots in the old lens which caused it to glare. I kind of liked it.

Beautiful girl! The shot in the alley is my favorite, did you try any other poses in the alley?

The first one is a real winner. Second...a bit too hazy for me, but it's kinda trendy now. 3 has potential, and she's certainly a cute model, but the pose just doesn't jump out at me. 4 is almost there too...great genuine smile. Pose is a bit strained. Her hands are big bright spots..work on "cracking" her wrists to look a bit more feminine.
