Im looking to get an ocotbox for my B800. Im looking at the ones on amazon now and they have a 36 and 60. What would be better for on location shoots? The 36 is 70 and 60 is 100$. Im leaning towards the 60" but just want to hear from you guys.

I purchased a 59" Visico Octa on ebay for $99, and it included a grid. A very good value, but the thing is a beast, and for location work, it would be much easier to deal with an umbrella based Octa.

You can use a 36" octa for full length work but it's far from ideal. Keep in mind that placing a 36" octa at a distance that would allow for a less rapid falloff and fairly even coverage will compromise the quality of light if soft light is what you're after. It won't be bad but it won't be the same as if you had the modifier in very close or had a much larger modifier at that distance from the subject. Robert
