Robert, I just read about this new lens and came looking here, thinking there would no doubt be a dedicated thread for it in the Sony section of the board, but nope. Nothing. Aren't Sony shooters excited about this lens?

When we stay in the city there is a pond 1/2 block away from the house.
Nothing really great there but it is a place I can walk out of the door and BIF practice.

This is just excellent Shalu, but did you notice you clipped it's wings? Were you feeding fish to get it that close? I'm amazed at the clarity.

Thank you very much, Bill! There was some clipping of the wings in the original frame, so I cropped more to make it a head shot, from 24MP down to 3MP. I stayed low sitting on the edge of the lake, along its usual flight route, so obviously it didn't mind me being there.

Hi Robert! Yeah, when I said “here” I meant here on POTN. I did see some mention of it in the All things Sony thread you linked to. I was just curious as to why we have no dedicated thread for it. Thanks for the other links. I will definitely check them out.
