40 days and counting.
I have to wonder with my big trip coming up if I got in early enough.
Alex Phan says no worries, this 200600 is made in China with plenty of production, unlike
the 500PF where I hear people are still waiting :(

Robert, I just read about this new lens and came looking here, thinking there would no doubt be a dedicated thread for it in the Sony section of the board, but nope. Nothing. Aren't Sony shooters excited about this lens?

Best Mockingbird BIF I've ever seen. Well done.

MedicineMan4040 wrote in post #18882113 (external link)
That's a dream shot of mine.
Only saw them once on the beach and none would skim :(

Thank you very much, Robert!

MedicineMan4040 wrote in post #18882115 (external link)
When we stay in the city there is a pond 1/2 block away from the house.
Nothing really great there but it is a place I can walk out of the door and BIF practice.
I don't know one duck from another but you all will-

This is just excellent Shalu, but did you notice you clipped it's wings? Were you feeding fish to get it that close? I'm amazed at the clarity.

Thank you very much, Bill! There was some clipping of the wings in the original frame, so I cropped more to make it a head shot, from 24MP down to 3MP. I stayed low sitting on the edge of the lake, along its usual flight route, so obviously it didn't mind me being there.:-P

Levina this isn't a Sony thread :)
Here it is more fully discussed-

And here is Alex's opinion on it, scroll down for pics-

In the all things Sony thread some interest, but not that many Sony BIF'ers here at POTN.
That thread is here, this thread will land you somewhere in it-

Hi Robert! Yeah, when I said “here” I meant here on POTN. I did see some mention of it in the All things Sony thread you linked to. I was just curious as to why we have no dedicated thread for it. Thanks for the other links. I will definitely check them out.
