My first and only Magpie in flight. Well Magpie period.
Check out the funky colors. Only thing I can figure was heavy heavy smoke in the air.
Taken last month in Sterling Alaska which had huge wildfires knocking on its door and sky visibility
like 1/2 mile.
Sill, no Magpies here in Appalachia so I was pleased to have seen one.

This particular day not only was the traveling experience great but shooting was also amazing. Was a great day for migration even though the numbers are not even half of what we have seen in the past. In this same time frame a few years ago the numbers were in the thousands more, this go round it's not even a third of what we've been blessed with. Hoping the numbers will increase.
