The puffin managed to escape with his catch! :-D The moment the gull released his grip, the puffin flapped his little wings as quickly as possible and made it back to his burrow below. Only three fish were dropped in the struggle. He still had five (possibly six) fish in his beak to deliver to his little puffling.

The gull may be bigger, but the puffin is much more agile! :-D

Awesome sequence of events Melissa. Beautifully photographed.
Just saw the lot together so no sleep lost :-P

It's photos like this that really bring life and reality to bird photos.
