Yes, Jake, I loved them. We saw a gazillion chicks too. They are a very photogenic gull. I like your images.

BTW, thanks for your advice when I was planning my Galapagos trip. I decided not to take my 500/4 and am glad I wasn't lugging it or a tripod around. I was not envious of the couple of folks that did bring them. Although I could have used it on a couple of occasions, it would have been more trouble than it was worth. My long lens was my 400/5.6 and that was great, but I probably could have gotten away with my 70-200/2.8 II and a 2X TC. If my 7D Mark II had showed up in time, that would have been ideal since I could have put a 1.4x TC on the 400 and had AF at f/8. I brought a monopod and never used it.
